What's Quick Tips®?
Quick Tips® Instant Heel Cap is a fast, convenient solution to worn out heel tips. Think of it like a spare tire for high heels. It saves you in a pinch and immediately restores worn out heels so they're wearable again. The protective cap fits right over your worn heel tip, and a self-fusing band securely binds the cap to your heel. Quick Tips prevents you from slipping and clicking on the metal nail. Best of all, you can apply it anywhere, anytime.
Why do heel tips need repair?
Heel tips protect the heel of your shoe and help create a nonslip grip. Over time, the rubber part of the heel tip wears down revealing the metal nail used to attach the rubber tip to your heel. Once the metal nail is exposed, the heel tip should be repaired to avoid the following:
• Loud clicking sound while walking
• Damage to shoe heel - more costly to repair
• Damage to floors - metal nail pits and fractures floors like wood, tile, stone, and vinyl
• Slipping - metal nail is slippery and dangerous to walk on
• Slipping - metal nail is slippery and dangerous to walk on
I needed pliers the last time I tried repairing my own heel tips. Do I need any tools for Quick Tips?
Absolutely not. Quick Tips goes right over your existing worn tip, eliminating the need for tools. To repair your worn heel tips, all you need is our Quick Tips cap and self-fusing band.
How long does it take to apply?
It takes about 25 - 50 seconds per shoe.
How long does it last?
The Quick Tips cap is made of a high-quality, extremely abrasion resistant polyurethane material. The product life depends on the condition of your old heel tip, body weight, and walking surface. Quick Tips lasts longer if you use it while the rubber still remains around the nail. Also, to ensure long wear, avoid stepping in cracks and uneven ground like gaps in sidewalks, grates, cobblestone and brick. Otherwise, the band can tear and cause the cap to detach. Each pack of Quick Tips comes equip with 2 bands per cap (8 bands total), so you can always reattach the cap using the extra band.
Does it change the height of the heel?
The cap is similar in size to a standard heel tip. It will increase the height of your heel by about 3 mm.
What sizes does it come in?
Quick Tips comes in Small, Medium and Large sizes. These three sizes should fit most high heel shoes. Each pack includes 2 pairs and are sold in Small/Small, Small/Medium, and Medium/Large packs.
How do I know which size is right for my shoe?

The cap is too small, and I don't want to move up a size. What should I do?
Skip the first wrap around the heel, and go straight to fitting the cap over your worn heel tip. The best technique for getting a tight cap on is to first get the flat edge over the heel tip and then push the round edge down until it snaps over the entire heel tip. The caps are somewhat flexible, so it can stretch to accommodate slightly larger heel tips. After getting the cap over your heel tip, wrap the band tightly 3x around the cap & heel.
The cap is too big. What should I do?
Tightly wrap the heel twice to thicken it before applying the cap and wrapping on the outside. As long as you tightly wrap the band around both the cap and heel tip, a loose fitting cap will stay attached to the heel. The tighter the wrap, the better it'll work.
Can I super glue the cap on?
Super glue won't work on high-friction areas like a heel tip. Super glue has high tensile strength (resist direct pulling) but low shear strength (side push or pull). The walking motion is naturally angled, and sidewalks and other walking surfaces are full of little bumps that will cause the super glue bond to loosen & crack. Super glues work best where there is no movement or stress.
The band is not fusing together. What's going on?
Liquids, lotions, and oils prevent the band from self-fusing. Before using Quick Tips, make sure both shoes and hands are dry and free of any debris, lotion, and oils.
The caps aren't staying on my heel or they fell off. What's going on?
The key to a long lasting cap is a tight wrap. So, it's important to do the following: (1) The band must be wrapped at least 2.5 - 3x around the cap & heel for a secure attachment -- 2.5x for Large, 3x for Small/Medium; (2) Avoid stepping into cracks and other uneven surfaces as that will cause the band to rip and tear.
What colors does it come in?
Quick Tips is currently available in black only. Stay tuned for additional colors.
How much does it cost?
